GROWING

The rose production is very modern thanks to the use of the most fashionable system for control of growth. What is interesting about the production of the flowers (are so called) in the greenhouses is the fact that the base for growing of flowers is not the soil but growing blocks. The blocks are placed on a metal basis one meter high above the ground. Every block contains one rose. An advanced system for feeding and watering (drop by drop) leads to every plant and a computer regulates the necessary amount of food and water for every rose. The humidity, the heath and the conditions for the vegetation of the rose are strictly controlled by a computer and monitored day and night. Highly trained personal takes care about the cutting of the roses.
After the rose is picked it is taken to the packing department where it is sorted depending on type, quality and length of the flowers. Every type is packed in a bouquet of 20 blooms, in order to be stored into a special storage space. Considering the fact that roses should be kept in special conditions, above all on low temperatures of up to 2 oC. As a component of the production capacity of Romero Makedonija there is a storage space with built-in cooling devices, completely isolated from the outdoor conditions. In this way the flowers are kept fresh after processing, under conditions to keep the quality to an absolute maximum.
